We are currently searching for an SEO Director to join our team based in Greenville, SC. The primary responsibilities of the SEO Director will be to work closely with our SEO strategists and specialists, copywriters, account managers, and clients to achieve improved organic and local rankings that lead to an increase in organic traffic and conversions. We are seeking and individual who is both strategic and analytical, with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams. The ideal candidate should be self-motivated and able to serve as a visionary for everything SEO related.

Responsibilities

Department Management

Manage internal budgets (link building, citations, content, software)
Manage team of SEO strategists and specialists, virtual assistants, and contractors
Plan SEO strategies for clients with account managers
Communicate effectively with account managers regarding client issues that arise

Perform Technical, Onsite, and Offsite SEO

Perform basic technical SEO tasks, such as, repairing 404 errors with 301 redirects, analyzing Google Search Console, GA4, Core Web Vitals, Page Speed, etc.
Must have demonstrated experience with ranking and optimizing Google Business Profiles (GBP’s) in Google Maps
Comfortable using a host of SEO tools such as SEMRush, Agency Analytics, Screaming Frog, BrightLocal, Local Falcon, Yoast, etc.
Must have experience developing link building strategies including guest posting, local donation campaigns, scholarships, etc.
Perform SEO on web builds prior to launching and post launch (outlining site architecture and URL structures, performing redirects if needed, improving site health)
Can develop an effective SEO content strategy based on clients’ primary focuses and goals

Task Management

Perform & delegate SEO tasks to team members
Perform SEO on web builds prior to launching (outlining site architecture and URL structures, performing redirects if needed)
Help SEO team members prioritize tasks and duties based on client expectations and account strategy
Train and guide SEO Strategists and SEO Specialists on their duties and tasks as needed
Communicate with other team members via project management tool (Wrike) and task and project updates

Requirements

Minimum Experience

5+ years of proven experience as an SEO Manager, SEO Content Strategist or similar role including planning and implementing successful SEO strategies
Expertise setting up and using relevant tools (SEMRush, AHRefs, Screaming Frog, etc.)
Knowledge of standard and current SEO strategies and best practices
Experience with SEO reporting
Experience identifying and successfully solving SEO issues with minimal direction
Law Firm SEO experience a plus
Strong consideration will be given to candidates who show screenshots of previous wins from rank trackers, Google Analytics, etc.
